Post the January 15th deadline, Shivaji vowed to go for an indefinite fast for justice. "CM and PCC Chief are giving irresponsible statements. How could a compensation of Rs 1 lakh will be sufficient for those who lost their family member? I willn't give up my fight until the justice is being done to these 45 families. I wouldn't hesitate to even beg on streets to collect money for them," he told.

Shivaji made it clear he neither wants publicity nor have political motive. "I am reacting to this issue just like a common man on humanitarian grounds," he asserts, apart from urging Governor ESL Narasimhan to intervene and help the families.

On October 30th, A Volvo bus mishap in Mahabubnagar district claimed the lives of 45 people.
