Union Govt shares debts to AP & TS

The Central Government has apportioned the debt arrears to both the Telugu states.Finance Ministry today announced the debts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should share post bifurcation.As part of this notification, of the total of Rs 1.48 lakh crores, the Telangana gets debts of Rs 61.71 thousand crores and AP Rs 86.34 thousand crores
 
As per reports Union Government divided debts according to the population in the two states. However Government is yet to divide Rs 18.43 cr debts which were granted by Foreign Finance institutions and Union Government.
 
The division of various corporations mentioned in AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 too was delayed. The Centre has to expedite the process. All these issues will be raised by both the chief secretaries at their meeting with Union home secretary
 
The amount lent by foreign lenders for the KC Canal Modernization and for the waste water treatment in Hussain sagar yet to be shared by union government. As per sources amount releated to KC Canal will go to AP and for purification of Hussain Sagar and Outer Ring Road will go to Telangana.
