Delhi Police is taking stringent measures for Republic Day which will have US President Barack Obama as the chief guest.Obama in his three day tour visiting the historical monument Taj Mahal along with his wife Michelle Obama.
Obama, who will be arriving in India on January 25 will visit Taj Mahal on January 27. 100 American security personnel reached Agra to monitor the security arrangements.The security personnel along with their 4000 Indian counterparts will ensure a protective cover to President Barack Obama
They will be discussing on the security plans in the national capital and Agra. Meanwhile the monument will remain closed for public on 27 January and no commercial airlines will be allowed to fly over Agra on that day.
As a pro-active measure, an alternate road route was planned for Obama visit to Taj.This alternate road will be kept as an emergency backup for his Taj visit .this route will be used if Obama’s jet fails to take off due to bad weather or any other reason.
