The indirect election for the posts of mayor, deputy mayors, chairpersons and deputy chairpersons were conducted today.Teluug Desam party showed its dominance once again and won majority of municipalities.Total 7 Corporations in AP have gone for elections out of which TDP bagged 5 (Anantapur, Chittoor, Vijaywada, Eluru, Rajahmundry) while YSR Congress just managed to win Kadapa Corporation.
And for 92 Municipalities, 74 were bagged by TDP, YSR Congress managed 15 and Congress won only one Municipality.Election in Two Municipalities is postponed for tomorrow.

MLAs and MPs have voting rights in elections of mayor and chairpersons along with their deputies.
