Pawan friend bags rights of 2 states

Tollywood makers have eyed on one more Hindi blockbuster and trying to bring it for telugu audience.If all goes well, then we will soon have a Telugu remake of recent Hindi blockbuster ’2 States’, which has already raked in over INR 100 crore at the box-office.

It is heard that Pawan friend and JSP leader PVP has bagged  the remake rights of the movie The film is based on the book written by the famous Chetan Bhagat. Inside talk is that the discussions are almost done and the agreements have to be signed.

The grapevine is buzzing with news that the film to be remade in Telugu featuring Rana. The news is yet to confirmed by the production house but people in the industry have already started talking about the film.

Abhishek Varman directed the movie while Karan Johar produced it. In the original film, the lead actors belong to Punjab and Chennai and the cultural divide between the families is extreme. This is the fundamental premise on which the film runs. Now for a Telugu or Tamil remake, which two cultures will be apt?
