Pronouncing its judgement on the bail petition lodged by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy, Supreme Court made it clear that a bail cannot be given to him until the whole of investigation is done. At the same time Jagan’s auditor Vijayasai Reddy, who is out on bail, got his bail cancelled and is ordered to surrender before May 30th.
However big relief for Jagan is that SC ordered CBI to close the investigation in next four months without any delay. If CBI finishes the whole probing by coming September, then Jagan could apply to bail in lower courts. Also if CBI fails to complete investigation in said time, Jagan could apply for a bail in trial court. It can be noticed that Jagan was arrested on May 27th last year and was lodged in Chanchalguda prison from then.
Apart from Jagan and Vijayasai, businessman Nimmagadda Prasad too got his bail petition rejected as SC felt that his economic crimes are most heinous.
