Titanic Ticket 1912

Update: 2014-12-19 06:45 GMT
Here is the 'Third Class Passenger' ticket of Titanic that was issued on April 10th, 1912. The largest ship carrying 2,200 passengers left Southampton (England) to reach New York on this particular day. It is touted to be the safest ship ever built and hence only 20 lifeboats were in it, that too only to rescue the survivors of other sinking ships.

Just 4 days after the journey began (April 14th), 'Titanic' struck an Iceberg at 11:40 PM and leading to the pouring of ice water (Minus 4 Degress) into it. The big ship sank within 2 hr 40 min after the collision. While 1,500-odd passengers died, 705 survived using the life boats and life jackets.
