Kollywood actress Charmila sought the help of police to rescue her son from her separated husband.Charmila has submitted a petition to the Chennai city police alleging that her husband has forcibly taken away her son and wanted the police to restore the custody.
Charmila, who is living separately, said her husband took her son away from her house without informing her
She said she had separated from her husband because of his rude behavior.
"He had been constantly torturing me and now he has taken away my son. As he had been abusing me, I was planning to divorce him. After taking away my son, he is not allowing me to speak to the child. I am concerned that his studies might get affected “she said.
Accusing her in-laws, the actress added, "They (her in-laws ) are also trying to convert my son to their religion."
The actress has starred in movies as 'UnnaiK ann Theduthe', 'Manasae Mounnama,' 'Oyilattam ' and 'Kizhakae Varum Pattu,' .She also acted in some telugu movies.
Chennai Police officials informed that petition of the actress has been forwarded from the police commissioner to Vadapalani assistant commissioner of police.Her husband Rajesh was unavailable for comment.
