Director Rakesh Omprakesh Mehra usually prefers showing his leading ladies as the girl-next-door with no or minimal make-up.
The renowned filmmaker who made critically acclaimed and commercially successful films like Rang De Basanthi and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag claims he is not against nudity in films when asked him to react on the latest trend of erotic scenes and item numbers.
Mr Mehra says he is not against nudity and one has to go ahead if its a part of the story as the Indian bodies are beautiful. However, he condemns exploitation for money and objects gender bias in cinema. He appeals to the people not to watch the films which have unacceptable content as no one will be making such products if there are no takers. He reminds filmmakers need to look at mirrors as an individual to reinvent oneself and behave with a moral responsibility.
