Makers of Manchu Manoj's Potugadu have been publicizing that their film is going to release in 800 theatres. How could this be possible when a big film like Toofan is already in the theatres? Of course, Toofan might have received a bad talk but it will do a much better business than Potugadu on any day because of the solid Mega fan base. Most of the exhibitors willn't be ready to replace Toofan with Potugadu.
On the other hand, Manoj isn't a big star to have a grand release in 800 theatres. All of his films which released till now have been screened in less than 500 screens, though Oo Kodathara Ulikki Padathara might be an exception due to the presence of Balakrishna. Even the theatrical trailer didn't create any positive buzz and we could only get to see Manoj's over-action in it.
Release in 800 theatres for Manoj is a laughable joke. We don't how much we could enjoy while watching Potugadu, but this fake publicity is enough to make anyone have a hearty laugh.
