AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu found fault with 14th Finance Commission for ignoring the promises of AP Reorganisation Bill.
Naidu: "Welcome move by 14th Finance Commission for being considerate about states. It is good that devolution is increased to 42%. Finance Commission hasn't made any specific award for AP though it acknowledged that we suffered fiscal damage due to bifurcation. The FC hasn't taken care of development needs of AP & treated AP on par with other states. It did not help AP get a level-playing field".
The Chief Minister complains 14th Finance Commission report hasn't offered anything to Andhra Pradesh even though the capital deficit is Rs.2,06,819 crore. He urged Centre to offer helping hand to Andhra Pradesh until it reach a level playing field to its neighbouring developed states.
