NTR name for Shamshbad domestic terminal

Update: 2014-11-20 13:20 GMT
As per the media reports Shamshabad domestic terminal is named after late NTR. Civil Aviation Ministry is reported to be issued orders to this regard on Thursday evening. But the  international terminal’s name will remain same as before-Rajiv Gandhi International Terminal.

Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Ashok Gajapathi Raju Pusapati, who took charge as aviation minister earlier  recalled his party's long-standing demand of having the new airport at Hyderabad named after Andhra hero NTR.While the construction of the new airport was an initiative of the TDP, it was completed in 2008 when the then Chief Minister Y S R Reddy decided to name it after Rajiv Gandhi

Earlier, when the airport was in  Begumpeta, domestic terminal was named after NTR. But after construction of Shamshabad airport  the then UPA government has named the airport after late Rajiv Gandhi, but ignored to name the domestic terminal after late NTR.With TDP man elected as aviation minister they put all efforts to rename domestic tremianl after their party founder name.Certainly a good news for all NTR fans.
