Earlier, we heard some of the titles such as, 'Ottu', 'Anna garu' etc. for this film. However, the film's makers have changed the title again and finally they zeroed out title as ‘’Rowdy’’
Touted to be an action film set in backdrop of Rayalaseema faction feuds, Rowdy is a throwback to 'faction genre' which was hugely popular at the turn of last decade. Sources said that the film have politically oriented dialogues which will indirectly attack Mohan babu’s well-known rivals
Many of Mohanbabu films have Rowdy in their titles .‘Assembly Rowdy’ (1991) was his biggest breakthrough in the 90s. His Rowdygari Pellam (1991) and Rowdy Mogudu (1993) were also decent hits except Political Rowdy (2005).
