As the State braces for Electric shock soon,the political parties are gearing up to corner the Kirankumar Reddy Government.The state government has decided to hike the power tariffs for 2013-2014.The Government is planning to impose about RS.13K-crore burden on consumers on the name of surcharge. The Government proposal to increase the power tariffs in a state draws the flak from opposition.The proposed power tariffs has become an issue of intense debate in the state with the Government.The opposition demands the government to rollback its plans to hike the power tariffs in a state. The opposition parties have already launched their protests against the Govt.s plans to increase the power tariffs.The left parties in Vijayawada started the signature campaign against the power tariff hike and fuel surcharge adjustments.TDP and YSRCP parties are vehemently opposing the tariff hike plans. The oppositions are busy in chalking out the roadmap of the agitations against the proposal of power tariff hike.They threaten to intensify the agitations if the government would not rollback its proposal of tariff hike. The Govt. proposal for power tariff hike will become the instrument for the oppositions to target the CM Kirankumar Reddy government.The opposition parties are seeking the political mileage from the issue. They will make use of the opportunity to reach out the people on this issue.
