In a major setback to chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, Reddy Community has been strongly opposing his idea to float a new party protesting the High Command's move to divide Andhra Pradesh. The reason behind the rejection is the fear of split in their votes between Jagan's YSRC and Kiran's new party. In case of one more Reddy party, Votes will be divided and this ends their dominance in the state politics, eventually benefitting the Telugu Desam Party.
On the other hand, Kiran is in dilemma whether to launch a new party when his own community is opposing the move. After defying High Command in the T-issue, CM Kiran may no more continue in the party once the Telangana bill is passed andhis confidant too want him to launch a party. The investment of Kiran for his party would be the goodwill he earned in the
Seemandhra region post July 30th announcement.
