Revanth Reddy sent to 14 Days Remand

Anti Corruption Bureau sleuths who arrested TDP MLA Revanth Reddy on Sunday evening on charges of bribing a TRS Nominated Member ahead of Telangana Legislative Council polls was sent to 14 days remand after being produced in the court.

Revanth Reddy was caught redhanded bribing TRS MLA, an anglo-indian, Elvis Stephenson. The footage of the conversation between the two public representatives at the house of latter's son has been released to the media.

Soon after the arrest, Revanth Reddy was shifted to ACB Headquarters at Banjara Hills. Before producing taking him to the Magistrate, The TDP MLA's statement has been recorded by the ACB Sleuths.

ACB Director General AK Khan revealed that everything is part of trap set by them upon receiving a written complaint from Stephenson two days after Revanth Reddy approached him. Although the deal amount is Rs 5 crore, Mr. Reddy and 3 Others reached the residence of Stephenson with Rs 50 lakhs which is an advance. A case was booked against Revanth Reddy under the Prevention of Corruption Act and Indian Penal Code.
