In a shocking development West Indies players have called off their tour of India over a pay dispute with the West Indies board. The team was supposed to play five ODIS and one T 20 and 3 test matches on their current tour.
The team is currently playing the fourth ODI in Dharamshala but this will be the last match they will play. The BCCI made it clear that the decision was taken unilaterally by the West Indies Board and its players inspite of several appeals to them to honour the commitment. The BCCI will also reportedly sue the West Indies Cricket Board over the cancellation of the tour.
According to reports, the BCCI is looking for another country to step in and complete the tour, with Sri Lanka the front runners to do so.
