Buzz in the film circles is that Superstar Rajinikanth is planning to remake Kalyan Ram's upcoming film 'OM 3D' in Tamil with his son-in-law Dhanush as the lead.
Due to the special bonding he shared with Nandamuri family since the time of late NTR, Rajini got the opportunity to watch the special screening of 'OM 3D' from his house itself through satellite telecast. The legendary personality felt the film is simple marvelous and appreciated Kalyan Ram for investing a lot of effort & money on the project. He went on to say 'OM' is a much better film compared to his 'Kochadaiyaan' when it comes to using the 3D effectively.
Kalyan Ram hired Hollywood technicians who worked for films like 'Avatar' and shelled out about Rs 13 crore only for 3D Effects for getting that technical finesse. The overall budget of the film is over Rs 25 crore. He is now on a mission to get at least 100 screens which would suit 3D format for the film.
Trade pundits say, Kalyan Ram could pocket at least Rs 1 crore through Tamil remake rights if everything falls in place.
