Telangana announced dates for all CETS

Ending months of uncertainty, the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments have reached a consensus on Eamcet and other entrance test exams. Telangana higher education council chairperson Papi Reddy on Monday announced the examination dates of all CETS i.e EAMCET, LAWCET, I-CET, PE-CET ,E-CET, and ED-CET.
 
EAMCET examination will be held on May 14, LAWCET on 19, E-CET on 21, I-CET on 22 and PE-CET on May 25. ED-CET will held on June 6.
 
He also confirmed that students from Andhra Pradesh will have to write Telangana CETs to secure admission in the state.Each state will hold its own Eamcet. Students in the two states will have the option to take the Eamcet of either state or appear for both.
 
The admissions will be common. Students can claim admissions in 15 per cent open quota in both the states irrespective of which Eamcet they opt for. Recently Andhra Pradesh education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao gave indications of the state conducting its own Eamcet but the schedule of AP Eamcet yet to be revealed.
