It is known that Telangana Government has brought up the nativity issue to escape from 'fee reimbursement' to lakhs of students pursuing their education in the new state. The newly formed government even released GO 36 which recommends Financial Assistance to Students of Telangana (FAST) scheme is only applicable for students of the parents who were residents of Telangana from November 1st, 1956.
The petition filed by former Congress ministers Dokka Manikya Varaprasad and Pithani Satyanarayana in High Court came up for hearing Today. High Court fumed at Telangana Government for issuing such a GO which could pose a threat to National Integrity. It pointed out Telangana is part of India but not a separate country and advised the Government to reconsider GO 36.
