Congress MP Undavalli Arun Kumar is particularly highlighting the plight of people living in the Rayalseema region in every meeting organized by him to support the United AP movement.
In his recent meeting at Rajahmundry, Undavalli described Rayalseema as the most backward region in the state and advised the Centre to settle the issue once and for all if it really wishes to divide the state. 'A movement similar to that of Telangana would take a birth if the interests of the people living in Rayalseema are neglected," he told.
Political observers opine, Undavalli wants to send the message to the Coastal Andhra people that a drought-hit region like Rayalseema will be a burden for them. He has no issues if Rayalseema was separated from Andhra and Hyderabad made the joint capital for all the three regions.
