Ram Charan's much-awaited bi-lingual film Zanjeer has already began shattering the records even before the audio launch. The theatrical rights of the Telugu version of Zanjeer for Karnataka have been sold for a record price of Rs 5 crore. This amount is never heard for any other language flick in that state.
Telugu stars, especially Mega Heroes enjoy huge following in Karnataka. All the previous films of Ram Charan had done good business in this territory and so, several distributors have competed to acquire the rights of his prestigious film.
Touted to be highest budget film (Rs 70 crore) in Charan's career, the makers of Zanjeer will be recovering the entire investment prior to the theatrical release and may also have bright of seeing table profits. Around Rs 50 crore business is expected to take place for the Telugu version itself. So, managing another Rs 20 crore from the Hindi version isn't a herculean task. Altogether, Zanjeer is a profitable film for makers and let's hope the buyers to end up making some quick bucks!
