Mukunda Lady Rejects Mani Ratnam

Showbiz world is a place where nothing matters but success. There was a time when working with Mani Ratnam was considered to be a high point in a star’s career. But times have changed and he is no longer a director in reckoning.

Recently Mani planned a multi-starrer film with Mahesh Babu and Nagarjuna in lead roles but the movie was not materialized and his plans ended abruptly.

Mani Ratnam  decided to make a youthful love story and he also roped Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan as a main lead .Mani is searching female lead for the film and initially short beauty Nithya Menon was considered but she was dropped for some reason.

According to reports  Mani Ratnam later approached budding heroine Pooja Hedge (Varun Tej's 'Mukundha' fame)  but there also he  faced a rejection. Pooja turned down the offer citing date issues.

Pooja recently signed a big Bollywood film and it is opposite none other than Hrithik Roshan. Talk in the industry is that Pooja is poised to be the next big thing in Telugu. They say she will get enough craze like Ileana and make it to the top league.Pooja will soon appear in Naga chaitanya starrer Oka Laila Kosam.
