A 10-Year-Old Boy from Gurgaon has written a letter to the Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh questioning him regarding the proposal to built a huge aquarium in the city.
Kai JW Bhujwala asks the Minister how could the Government which claim its fighting illegal wildlife trade keep the exotic fishes as 'pets'. Terming it as a mixed message, Keeping fish in tanks doesn't create awareness about their real importance.
The Boy expressed the wish to see India set an example to the World when it comes to conservation instead of finding replicas of attractions in other cities. He suggests the amount spend on the aquariums could be used for marine conservation.
Fisheries Department came up with proposal of setting up Gurgaon's first public aquarium-cum-sea food court with 100 varieties of fishes including marine & fresh water at Sector 29.
