Charminar - Most Polluted in Hyderabad!

The level of air pollution in Charminar area this year has touched peaks. It is currently averaging 127 micrograms per cubic metre which is a dangerous sign.

As per Pollution Control Board (PCB), The air pollution in Charminar has crossed the 100 micrograms per cubic metro which is the acceptable annual limit. They complain the levels of Respirable Suspended Particulate Matter (RSPM) increased from 105 micrograms per cubic metre in 2011 to 127 micrograms per cubic metre in 2014.

Industrial Area of Balanagar records highest with 178 micrograms per cubic metre. Next to follow is Jeedimetla which recorded 128 micrograms per cubic metre.

Air Pollution not only results in ailments but also poses a threat to cultural monuments. Will the TRS Government take some measures?
