Sister Nirmala Joshi who is the successor of Mother Teresa passed away at the age of 81. She was the one who replaced Mother Teresa as the Superior General of the Missionaries of Charity in 1997.
Since few days, Sister Nirmala Joshi has been suffering from health issues and her condition kept deteriorating day-by-day. Those who wishes to pay respect could reach Mother House on Wednesday morning. Last Rites will be performed at 4 PM on the same day.
PM Narendra Modi expressed his condolences. "Sister Nirmala's life was devoted to service, caring for poor, underprivileged. Saddened by her demise. May her soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to the Missionaries of Charity family on the passing away of Sister Nirmala," he told.
Even West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee paid tributes and commented the whole World will be missing Sister Nirmala Joshi.
