The Note for Vote scandal has reached critical point of investigation and Telanagana ACB served notices to key leaders from the state. TRS nominated MLA Stephenson who is the centre of all the controversy opened up on the matter in a private gathering. Stephenson adressed the students of St Mary's College who felicitated him for his honesty,
Speaking at the event the nominated MLA said he acted in accordance with the values and ethics in the cash for votes scam. He did not succumb to the lure of money offered by the TDP MLA Revanth Reddy to switch loyalties.Stephenson said he was not lured by TRS leaders and said that in all his years of entrepreneurship he has never seen more than a sum of Rs 1 crore.He said a true leader is one that sacrifices for the good of his country and state.
'I have acted with moral values and there is no pressure on me from TRS.My life is under threat but if something has to happen to me there would be many other Stephensons coming up. I would like to be the perfect example and wants to pave way for better Telangana. I have acted according to my will and values and did not play any mind game in the episode," he added
Its known that Revanth Reddy was arrested by ACB on May 31 while he was offering Rs.50 lakh to nominated member Elvis Stephenson to make him vote for TDP-BJP candidate in legislative council election.
