The court has issued an non-bailable warrant against TDP candidate for Anantapur Lok Sabha constituency JC Diwakar Reddy's son Pawan Kumar Reddy and Tadipatri Assembly constituency JC Prabhakar Reddy's son Ashmith Reddy in connection with an attack on former TDP Youth wing district president K Murali.
During 2009 Polls, Congress activists ransacked the house of Murali and later set it ablaze. Police have registered cases against Pawan Kumar Reddy and Ashmith Reddy initially, but using JC's influences the duo made sure their names were erased in the FIR. Later, Murali approached High Court and then directions were given to the local court to include the names of the two accused in the FIR.
However, Pawan Kumar Reddy and Ashmith Reddy failed to appear before the court during the hearing and hence a non-bailable warrant has been issued. Both of the accused has been absconding ever since then and attempts were made to acquire bail for them by JC Camp.
