The representatives of AP NGO served a strike notice to state government protesting the decision of Centre to divide Andhra Pradesh. They met chief secretary PK Mohanty at the secretariat for submitting a representation and informed that they would go on strike from August 12th.

Addressing the media, AP NGOs president P Ashok Babu warned public representatives from Andhra and Rayalseema of severe consequences if they fail to submit their resignations by 12th of this month. "The people of Seemandhra developed an emotional bond with Hyderabad since the past 60 years and it's unfair to say it belongs to only Telangana region," he said, by stressing intention of the indefinite strike is to create a political vacuum and stop the division process.

APSRTC employees and all the associations of Public Sector in Hyderabad have extended their support to the strike. All the employees and students of Andhra, Rayalseema and even Hyderabad will be taking part in the movement against Telangana state.
