Film Actor and TDP candidate for Hindupur Assembly Constituency Nandamuri Balakrishna landed in trouble for not mentioning about Rs 50 crore worth land in the election affidavit submitted to returning officer.
As per the sources, Balakrishna owns Gurukul Ghatkesar Trust land (Survey No: 11/4; 3,942 Gajam) at Khanapet near Hi-Tech City. There is also a dispute regarding 300 Gajam land beside this plot. A woman named Padmaja filed a petition in Ranga Reddy court accusing Balakrishna and Few Others of encroaching her land. The court accepted the petition and issued noticed to the actor. In response, Balayya informed the court that he purchased 3,942 Gajam land from a woman named Hemalatha. He also mentioned about submitted a memorandum to government for regularization of this particular land.
A complaint has been lodged with Election Commission demanding cancellation of Balakrishna's nomination and action against him for filing false affidavit.
