Two groups-One for United AP and the other for Telangana state are lobbying in New Delhi for their stands.The Congress leaders from Seemandhra and Telangana raised their demands before Congress High Command(HC).
Seemandhra leaders met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Minister Gulab Nabi Azad on Tuesday to keep the state United. On the other side, Telangana leaders called on Union Home Minister Susheelkumar Shinde and appealed him to announce the formation of Telangana on January 28.
As the deadline date is coming near, the leaders from both Telangana and Seemandhra regions have camped in New Delhi to intensify the pressure on High Command to implement their demands. The two groups are busy since morning to meet several senior leaders in New Delhi to explain their views on Telangana issue.
The leaders from both regions have expressed their optimisms on the decision which would be made by center on January 28. While Seemandhra leaders are confident of keeping the state united, Telangana leaders are hopeful that the center would take the decision in favor of Telangana.
