Supreme Court on Monday refused to grant stay on the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh saying it can't interfere in such matters at present. However, Notices have been served to Central Government seeking its explanation on the charges leveled against it.
The Apex Court responded in this manner in response to the 24 Petitions filed against various people including former chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and seeking stay on the Appointed Day (June 2nd).
It was Jai Samaikyandhra Party leader Undavalli Arun Kumar who enrolled his name with SC Bar Association as a lawyer has argued on behalf of petitioners on Monday. He, however, failed to yield the desired results and left a big disappointment for JSP leaders and cadre.
